Registered Phenomena Code: 440
Object Class: Alpha-Yellow
Hazards: Mechanical Hazard, Chronological Hazard
Containment Protocols: RPC-440 is to be contained in an iron box, 152 mm X 152 mm X 72 mm, Any subjects who use RPC-440 will undergo a psychological test and then be released to normal duties. Any subject who uses RPC-440 without proper authorization will result in detainment and reprimandment, depending on how severe the results are.
In the event of a facility wide breach, the case containing RPC-440 is to be electrified for the safety of personnel. Regularly inspect the case for cracks or other damage that has the potential to cause a breach. Two (2) ASF guards are to be on duty at all times.
Description: RPC-440 is a continually running stopwatch with two (2) separate hands, and is capable of stopping time. Time can only be stopped for one (1) hour, by stopping the watch, and the second hand will continue until time resumes again.
Subjects who tested RPC-440 report feeling uneasy or paranoid, even reporting an entity, RPC-440-1, that is approximately 2 meters tall, and appearing to be completely black. Subjects who encountered RPC-440-1 reported that the entity stalked them while the watch was stopped, and RPC-440-1 could only move when there was no lighting present. Research into RPC-440-1 is ongoing, but it appears mostly harmless. Containment of RPC-440-1 is still being researched.
Addendum 440.1: One of the test subjects vanished moments after activating the watch, Researchers speculate that RPC-440-1 is responsible. There is no trace of the subject.
Addedum 440.2: Agents have discovered that RPC-440-1 appears in all instances of using RPC-440. It is noted that RPC-440-1 cannot move when light is pointed at it, but it has the ability to temporarily shut off lights. Research is ongoing.
