Hey everyone! Seeing as our 2nd year anniversary is just a few months away, I want to ask all of you a question. What were your first impressions when you were joining the RPC Authority? What did you think of the community when first joining, how did you hear about the RPC Authority, where did you think the Authority was going, what inspired you to first join the site, did you ever think that you would be in the position that you are now(not limited to staff), and did you first come in with the plan to write 1 or more articles.

I'll go first. I joined the RPC Authority at around the beginning of its creation, on June 19th, 2018. When I joined the community, I thought that all other users were out of my league. I haven't written much before this and I thought that everyone was better shitposters than me. But, I thought everyone in the community was very welcoming and I found it easy to make friends. I heard about RPC like a lot of other people who joined week 1, Mister Metokur was doing a stream and mention someone talking in his super chat about the "RCP Foundation". When I first heard of it I tried my damnest to google, bing, and everything else it. I was only able to find the URL on the /X/ board and here I am.
When I first joined, I thought that RPC had the potential to be as big SCP, but I didn't expect it to be guaranteed. I thought that a new universe and new opportunities allowed RPC to have the potential to act as a complete alternative to the original SCP site, but I also didn't think (and in some ways don't want) that many people would join as SCP. I did think, however, that it would take a lot of people from the old site to here. What inspired me to first join the site was when I saw that the SCP Foundation community was truly falling apart, and I already had an article that I began writing in January of that year that I wanted to share. With these 2 things in mind, I joined RPC with the want to publish an article and seeing SCP as too crazy to associate with at the time.
I never expected to actually expected to be a mod or admin when first joining, I just decided to help a lot with the new site and it paid off. Like I said in my last paragraph, I came in expecting to only write 1 article, but being around the community made me want to stay and I ended up coming up with more articles to offer the site.
I hope to see some interesting responses from all of you guys!
Dreams. Each man longs to pursue his dream. Each man is tortured by this dream, but the dream gives meaning to his life. Even if the dream ruins his life, man cannot allow himself to leave it behind. In this world, is man ever able to possess anything more solid, than a dream?
