Any number of RPC-XXX instances from one to seven will grow outward from the head of RPC-XXX-A.

So, shampoo bottles will start growing out someone's head if they use it? Kinda breaks my suspension of disbelief to imagine whole bottles of shampoo popping out of someone's head. I could see some form of creature coming out, like some infant form of RPC-XXX, that eventually becomes the shampoo bottles. But not just flat out bottles of shampoo growing out of someone's head, at least, without killing the person (imagine whole shampoo bottles trying to grow out of hair roots. not pretty).

I could see that happening as is, just not the subjects living through the whole ordeal.

Other than that, its got good body horror. Just enough to make your skin crawl, but not enough to make you sick, so good job on that.

TLDR: Make the birthing process more lethal or change what comes out of the victim.

It is currently believed that RPC-804 instances do not communicate with,
*do not communicate, it is unclear if they are unable or simply unwilling.
use something like this, interesting enough idea, although I think a source of some kind for this concept would be good

Oh, and I didn't really see anything at all I'd consider body horror, cancer patients lose their hair, people with keratin disorders have incredibly hard hair and nails.
