RPC-150-1. Several utilities and image used have been omitted to avoid cognitohazard.

Registered Phenomena Code: 150

Object Class: Beta-Yellow

Hazard Types: Extra-Dimensional Hazard, Sensory Hazard, Visual Hazard

Containment Protocols: As of September 2018, all instances of RPC-150 that are spread on the internet have been successfully expunged by MST X-Ray-6 "Annullifiers". However, the possibility of RPC-150 re-emerging in the near future has a non-zero chance, hence the active protocols.

Instances of RPC-150 are to be identified by its predetermined suffix and prevented from entering the public domain. An arrangement has been made with Adobe Systems to notify the Authority of the key with the identifying suffix whenever a new key is generated.

In the case of a containment breach, the website in which the unidentified RPC-150 manifests is to be suspended until MST X-Ray-6 "Annullifiers" can expunge RPC-150 and/or recover the customer to be interrogated at the nearest Authority outpost.

All of the known instances of RPC-150 that have ever been produced are recorded in Document 150-A.

Description: Instances of RPC-150 are a set of randomly produced keys used to activate a newly installed photograph editing software Photoshop Creative Suite 6 designed by Adobe Systems. Instances of RPC-150 are produced by a random key generator whenever a customer buys a key online.

However, instances of RPC-150 activate a unique version of Photoshop CS6 that allows the user to edit images in a 4th axis direction (Designated as RPC-150-1). Viewing even the basic shapes produced by RPC-150-1 will exhibit a severe cognitohazard that targets the cortex of the brain and optical organs.

RPC-150-1 can also create standard 2D and 3D shapes with no adverse cognitohazardous effect as opposed to the unique 4D shapes feature.

Victims of the effects of RPC-150-1 (Designated as RPC-150-2) will exhibit various cognitive symptoms upon viewing 1 (one) shape produced by RPC-150-1 in relation to the viewing duration. Known symptoms include:

  • Immediately-1 minute: Headache, most notably migraine.
  • 1-2 minutes: Stereoblindness1, Strabismus2, due to rapid eye movement.
  • 2-4 minutes: Subconjunctival Hemorrhage3 due to rupturing blood vessels in the retina.
  • 4-6 minutes: Cerebral Edema4, Alexithymia5 (onset of loss of higher brain function).
  • 6-8 minutes: Acute Otitis6, followed by bleeding due to increasing blood pressure in the brain.
  • 8-10 minutes: Blood Hypertension, followed by hemorrhagic stroke.
  • 10+ minutes: Total brain death.

Authority agents are able to easily identify instances of RPC-150 by the "-4071" suffix at the end of every key known to activate RPC-150-1. However, there have been reports of a completely randomized RPC-150 not having the identifying "-4071" suffix, therefore bypassing the automated identifier program and causing a containment breach.

The staff at Adobe Systems are currently unsure of how RPC-150-1 came into existence. Analysis of Photoshop CS6's change log database by Authority agents showed no extranormal activity.
