Registered Phenomena Code: 271

Object Class: Beta-Orange

Hazard Types: Aquatic Hazard, Sapient Hazard, Contact Hazard, Grouped Hazard, Sensory Hazard

Containment Protocols: RPC-271 is to be routinely monitored for instances of RPC-271-1 by staff from Site-007. Changes in the activity of RPC-271-1 are to be recorded.

Due to the unnecessary casualties caused by the containment breach on █/█/███, funding has been allocated for the construction of an OL-Site to contain the entirety of RPC-271.

In light of the nature of the previously mentioned containment breach (see Incident Log 271-1-A for details), changes to the staff policy have been implemented by the Global Directors. All staff members should be reassigned to Site-007 after a 6-month deployment to RPC-271. Should an on-site staff member begin to suffer from RPC-271-1’s anomalous effect, they are to be administered Class-C amnestics and relocated to Site-007 effective immediately.

Description: RPC-271 is a circle of stones approximately 1 kilometer in diameter surrounding a peat bog in ███████, Scotland. The circumference of the circle is surrounded by large fieldstones, reminiscent of Stonehenge. The bog is approximately 5 meters deep at its lowest point. Soil samples from RPC-271 have shown an unprecedented level of acidity, similar in ph level to acetic acid. Further testing has shown that RPC-271’s acidity increases with proximity to the center of RPC-271. RPC-271’s anomalous effect is the manifestation of entities hereby referred to as RPC-271-1.

RPC-271-1 are entities resembling members of the genus Equus Ferus1, but with exclusively black coloration. Initially, RPC-271-1 is entirely indistinguishable from non-anomalous members of Equus Ferus. The anomalous properties of RPC-271-1 manifest when a human is within 20 meters of an instance of it. Subjects who are affected by RPC-271-1's anomalous properties, designated as RPC-271-2, will be influenced to mount the nearest instance of RPC-271-1. Upon coming into contact with RPC-271-1, RPC-271-2 will adhere themselves to RPC-271-1. RPC-271-1 will proceed to enter an active state, pulling RPC-271-2 into the nearest body of water, drowning RPC-271-2. After the termination of RPC-271-2, that particular instance of RPC-271-1 will promptly demanifest. While instances of RPC-271-1 are able to be terminated, the results of termination are negligible due to the anomalous status of RPC-271. Testing on a deceased instance of RPC-271-1 has shown a lack of a skeletal system, cardiovascular system, and nervous system. Tissue samples of RPC-271-1 have been sent to Site-007 for further analysis.

Discovery: RPC-271 was discovered by RAF pilots on █/█/19██ during a training exercise outside of █████████, Scotland. After a brief investigation by MI132 agents, RPC-271 was given to the Authority for continued monitoring and containment.
